have you tried getting into safe mode?
yes it does the same exact thing. when i was trying to install daemon tools this would happen but i could get around it by choosing boot last settings that worked but now it won't work

If you do a repair install. (just reinstall the operating system over the hard drive. this will fix the windows files that have been corrupted if any and possibly stop the daemon tools doing what its doing.
This way you will not loose any of your files, but you may need to reinstall any other programs that are not related to the operating system. ie office etc.
