Almost all of my memory cards are infected with a virus called Virus identified Worm/Generic.ARQY and when I try to open the folder (DCIM [for photos]) it won't let me and it is I may not have the appropriate permissions to acces it.
When I looked more I found that it had turned the folder into an application (DCIM.exe). All the photos (important ones) in the "folder" are gone.
