Computer screen black

Hello,
I went to plug my Dell laptop into my power source and it popped and the screen went black and will not come back on. Can anyone help?

Dear Dan,

Please check your motherboard and graphic card if the problem

is not coming from the power supply. If still the problem continues

please have the the laptop restored through the below means:

I guess we do not know how to check the mother board and video card. Can you help us with that?

Dear Dan,

Please check it by placing it on another PC. If you

have never done this before, I will reccomend you to

send it for repair for not causing any damage to other

hardware components.
