for chaninging the desk top icon to big or small size use appearence and then select as you like

i think you are talking about screen resolution. do one thing just right click on desktop go to properties then go to setting there you can see the screen resolution change it to 800x600 it shows big for mideum select 1024x768. try it dear. for more help msg me at lfefil on yahoo.
