My PB E6100 keeps shutting down

Hello,
I have a Packard Bell E6100 Easynote which keeps on shutting itself off. The laptop feels very hot although temp program states its only reaching upto 40 oc. can anyone help me as to what might be shutting my laptop down?

hi there,

clean the air filter next to the cooler fan

change the silicon paste on the processor

and use a cooler fan fr laptop (external )
