 Hello, i want to know what does one actually mean when he is talking about laptop configurations? (please give me the list) also i want to know what basic things I should be knowing before buying a laptop?

                    I am faculty of multimedia. I want to a laptop, for teachig just like illucs, corel , max maya tunboom, Premeare, with as per requirements i give the project max of maya ( modeling ), what i cannot deside, i buy the  laptop or desktop computer, what is beifit, give me advise and give me both configuration, Price rate,
