Dvd/cd-rom not working or showing up

Hello,
my name is josh and the drive for my cd/dvds says is corrupt and wont work and i tried deleting the upper filters and lower filters but when i click delete
an error pops up saying unable to delete all specified values. any help?

Just delete the upper lower filter key from registry.

The address is --->
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Then go to the device manager and uninstall the cd/dvd drive if the showing the yellow exclamation mark with them. and then restart the computer.

It will definetly work.
