Dear Peppy,
The problem being experienced is that PDF files are being opened using Wordpad instead of opening originally in Adobe Reader. This problem can easily be fixed while before the file is opened.
While you select opening the particular file, you will be automatically asked if you want to open it or to save it. If ever you don't receive this message, right click on the file and select download. From there, you will get the same message. You should select Run or Open. Then in the Open With section, please have Adobe Reader selected.
This is how you will be able to get the problem fixed and get the PDF files to open normally.
