Connecting pc to ps3

Hello,
Hey guy's I need all the advice I can get.
Ok here I go my 15 year old daughter got a ps3 for x-mas she wants me to connect it to the Internet. My pc is in the dinning room and ps3 is in the living room hooked up to the tv, My Internet Provider is cricket broadband the little thing that plugs into a usb port my pc is xp pro. now to run a ethernet cord across the rooms, well lets say my 19 month old son would try to hang himself with or the 15 year old would trip on it and rip it out, so ether one would be bad. so is there any one that could tell me how to do this the easest way I am stuck please help me
