How to change spanish language to english

Hello,
I have samsung laptop windows xp home edition version 2002 with italian langauge on it. i cannot understand the language,whenever there is a command the language still italian, i cannot understand it. i already follow steps also from control panel regional language after the procedures, still not okey.... what should i do? is there any free software to download to my laptop in order to have english language on my laptop? please i need your help on this. thank you and more power.
