Recovery of data

Hello,
2 days back i formatted my drive during the process d CD dint asked automatically bcz of dat i had to do it manually by exploring through system startup....after dat a message popped up dat dis was an older version thn d previous one wich i was currntly using..i dont remeber wat i actually did bt later it got done mean while thr was also a missing file msg displayed during the formatting and it was like"$ntfs%sfs/lang"wich i skiipped...finaaly i got to know thr r 2 windowz instaaled on my PC..n old one all software like kundali adobe reader r present except my vry important data wich i had sevaed in D drive..its really imp for me.....n now thr r pragram files n documnt setting icons in D drive i thnk d new windowz installed in D accidently...m so upset by loosing my data ... can u plzzz help me out to recover my old data..it have a lots of pictures n other imp files plzzz i really need ur help
