Restoring Acer computer to factory settings

Hello,
I recently upgraded my computer to window 7 from windows vista. Now our iPods don't sync and several of the usb drivers work sporadically. I tried to restore my computer to factory settings to remove windows 7 but the computer just reboots and does no restoring. Is there something that I am missing? I am using the Acer recovery options to restore to factory settings, but it does nothing. Please help.

You might have reformatted the entire hard disk and erased the hidden partition that contained the recovery data when you installed Windows 7. I suggest you contact Acer for a recovery CD.

Are you sure you have install all the necessary drivers and chipsets for your motherboard.
