Port address for the processors

Hello,
hi..........this is bala.........i am going to do a mini project on microprocessor......in that i am going to connect two systems using rs-232 cable......so i need the port address for the microprocessor.....i need in help to find the port address for the system.........plz help me to find port address......

Hi there,

Normally rs 232 uses com port 3 or 4 or even 5.Please give more information.

hi.........this s bala......sorry now only i started studying about microprocessors.......and i dont any thing about rs 232 com port so plz send me the detailed report............
