Dell 5150 boot problem Closed

Hello,
Dell Dimension 5150 desktop boots to user login screen then says "error: missing blah-blah-blah.dll file" and won't go any further.  Would the Dell system reload disk just reload XP and leave the pics and programs or would it format the drive before installing?

Hi there,

it will not format the hard drive unless you opt for it,its for making system repair,boot from installation cd and choose repair,link below from Faq will guide you:
