Hello,
i have a 160 GB sata hard drive, and 160 Gb Pata dard drive. i want to use them both together. SATA doesnot have cable select pins and jumpers. while i have put PATA drive on cable select, connecting it with the slave IDE cable. The Bios setting does recognize it,, but it boots from the PATA drive.
\I cannot change the preference of hard drives in BIOS setting. I want my pc to boot from the new SATA drive. Any ideas?

If you can't change the hard drive boot order then you have no other option.

A work-around --You can buy an external USB hard drive enclosure and convert the PATA drive to USB.

Good Luck
