I need LAN configuration Closed

Hello,

I Hv a dell Laptop having O.S. windows 7 and a PC having O.S. Windows XPsp2. I hv purchased a D-Links Ethernet PCI Adapter and installed it on my PC. I use a BSNL Dial-up connection. I want to connect my Laptop to PC with PCI Adapter, so that I can share the files on My PC, as well as access Net on My laptop. can a normal telephone cable be used for connection? How can i configure LAN?

You can enable Internet Connection Sharing on that PC, and connect directly to laptop with crossover cable to share Internet and other files (with file sharing enabled). Hope this helps.
