I cannot open my pen drive to access files

Hello,
when i try to open my pen drive to access files it does not open but instead displays a message do you want to format your drive now?

i tried formating it but it did not work

Dear Sir,

There might be some corrupt files that is causing the trouble. You should get the problem solved by formatting it and also keep in mind that this will erase all the files on it with no possibility to get them back.
