Hello,
Please try to completely uninstalling IE and then reinstall.
After uninstalling use this small tool to remove errors in the registry:
https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download
Run the registry cleaner and then reinstall IE. Ensure it is IE8 and no previous version
This should work, if not please come back and we will find a solution.
