Hello,
I have a HP520 laptop - a year and a half old. Recently, I have been facing random power shut downs, as i keep working. It has been throughly irritating.
I heard its because of over heating, and brought costly coolers, but doesn't help.
I changed the AC power adapter, still no big difference. The battery seems fine too.
My friend tells me the mother board circuit might have some problems!!
Is this a hardware problem or software problem.
In the middle of writing my PhD thesis..
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ela

Hi there,
Cooler pad is no the complete solution for this overheating issue, you must before clean the heatsink and remove the dust inside it to let airflow.remove the cover ond clean it or get it done by a qualified technician.
