HELP sims 3 freeze Closed

Question

Hello,
i was remodling a house on sims 3 and when i went into live mode for my people it didnt go and instead of my mouse there was a watch i waited a few minutes but nothing happened so i clicked on buy and nothing happened so i clicked on live and no change i minimized the screen and ejected the game but the screen was still frozen when i pulled it up i cant shut the computer down cuz sims wont let me i have a mac PLEEZ HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
