New Ipod wont turn on if not in computer

Hello,
yah , my new nano Ipod wont turn on unless in a computer or a power source right when i unplug it from a power source it doesnt turn on. kinda wondering if anybody can give me a hint to fixing it cause i dont have the reciept.

Hi there,

You will have to get the battery replaced as its not retaining the charge given to it.
