Automate simultaneous entry of data in cells

Hello,
I need to format two Excel cells on the same sheet so that when data is entered into one, the same data automatically is entered or copied into the second cell. The cells are blank to begin with. This is a registration form filled out by different clerks and they cannot be expected to do anything other than type data into cell 1. Thanks very much in advance!
