how do i reset my Compaq presario 2100Closed

Hello,
i have a Compaq Presario 2100 and when ever i try to turn it on it sends me to a page that says
 a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

i do not have the reboot disk it came with because it is used.
any tips on what to do???

Hi there,

Follow these steps to fix issue:

Restart pc in ms dos,navigate system :c:\ press enter,then type chkdsk/r press enter.
