Where do I find the backed up files.Closed

Hello,
I had to do a system recovery.  I thought I had backed up my data and I remember the message about partitioning.  I can't find my data.  Is there a special place that I should look?  and what would the file be called?

Do you mean you re-loaded VISTA?  If you allowed VISTA to format the hard disk then you have no backup files. If you can spend $150 - $200 you can buy files recovery software from ONTRACK that may recover the files.  I recovered windows XP files after a re-format.
