Pen drive problem

I have a 4GB Toshiba Pen Drive, about 85% full. I plugged into a friend's computer and after that it refuses to open and now a non-formatted warning appears. Another warning of data loss appear if I attempt to formatt.

Did I lost my data forever ??? Anything I can do ???

Dear Sir,

Don't format it and see whether you can right click on it and explore it. It this doesn't work, you will be compelled to get it formatted for there is a corrupted file or virus causing the trouble.
