Pc doesnt work with new rams

Hello,
yesterday i updraged my ram from 512mb to 1gb and this morning when i switch it on it seems as if only the fan in the psu is running and nothing else the fan on the processor isnt running as well. i have tried almost everything removing the new one and putting again the older one but still will not work.
any help would be the most welcomed

Did you bump the motherboard power connector while changing the memory? They are adjacent to each other. pull the power connector off and re-insert it. Be careful - you need to push down a tab to release a latch in order to remove the connector. lack of a CPU fan MAY indicate no power to the motherboard.
