Internet in sony ericsson mobile

Sir,
I have a sony ericsson mobile. Whenever i want to connect it to my (hp pavillion/windows 7)laptop to access internet it doesn't show my phone. But in sharing files its o.k. Why it is giving problem in connecting internet though i have latest sony ericsson pc suit?
