enter the 3 finger salute (Ctrl + Alt + delete) that should bring up the "Windows Task Manager"
click on the "New Task" button and enter explorer.exe and click OK - this should bring up your desktop
Now download Advanced WindowsCare V2 from www.iobit.com - install this program and let it make all updates.
Restart and you should be OK.
Report back if this doesn't fix the problem - there is a Microsoft fix that you can try.
