D drive not formating by us right click opti

D Dirve giving Error when i try to format by right click>format>quick format>. but it is giving error-Window cannot format this drive quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using the drive and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of the drive . Then try formatting again. please help me regarding this problem.

What exactly is your D drive? Is it a partition on your Primary HDD or is it another drive? Are you attempting to format within Disk Management?

if it is this one then do what i looked up for you

Delete the partition, then recreate it and format.

and Boot system
from CD.. use FDISK command for HDD partitions.
