Email 2007 Excel Gmail

I recently bought a new computer with WIndows 7 and Office 2007. My email is Gmail. I was in an excel spreadsheet and wanted to send it as an attachment. However when I tried to this, I got an error that my eamil wasn't found. Does anybody know how to connect gmail address to Windows 7; Office 2007 applications in order to be to send attachments directly from the application.

You need to setup a default email applications. If you are using outlook and want to set up gmail on it, here are the instructions
