Speakers not working.

My laptop says I have an audio device plugged in but I have plugged nothing in. Because of this, my laptop's speakers no longer function ): Help me please

Dear Jy,

Please check you have its drivers installed on it and also check whether the speakers are working correctly by connecting it to another computer.

My speakers are working now. Turns out there was a problem with the headphone jack such that the computer recognised that a device was plugged in the entire time even where there was nothing inside. I got it replaced and its all well now (:
