Inspiron 1545 crackling fan

i have an inspiron 1545 and every now and again, when the fan should be running, it starts to crackle and it sounds like the fan is on fire. some of these times as well, smoke starts to come out of the back of area where the fan takes in air. it is starting to worry me and i want to know if this is a common problem or if it is just me! does anyone have the answer?

Smoke is not a good sign in any computer. Take it to a repair shop and have them fix it before it burns down your house.

i have the exact same problem with mine. i really dont kow what happend to it but my advice is to not turn it on until you get it fixed because that will just make the problem worse.
