Restoring to factory defaults

I have a dell studio1555 and I've tried pressing F8 (multiple times), pressing and holding F8, using the recovery drive and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? Can I just manually format my C Drive or does that have a different effect?

theres acouple diffrent things to try first, could be couple diffrent buttons, try ALT=F10 , or ALt=F11 or just F10 or just F11 or alt+CTRL+f10, or f11

I tried all the options you gave and they did not work
