Dual Screen to One Screen Closed

Question

I booted up this HP Mini 1101 netbook and it is showing a split or dual screen.  How do I get it to show only one screen on it.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

Dear Sir, 

There should be an application in conflict causing this trouble. Please open the task manager and see whether there is no other applications running and hence end the process.
