Vaio laptop keyboard

I hit the keys and no characters come out. Does some body have the same problem?

Dear Sir,

Please check whether its drive has been installed and also whether the configuration settings have well been set. I will advise you to connect an alternative keyboard to it to see whether it works too. Then consider indicating for further help.
