Hello,
I am running Windows XP and have a Dell Latitude D600 with a TEAC DVD-ROM DV-28E-C. My computer does not recognize any CD or DVD that I put in it. When I go into My Computer and click on the DVD drive it says 'Please insert a disk into drive D:' The TEAC website says that this model does not have any drivers. The troubleshooting program says that everything in installed and working properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there,

Ill advice to use a lens cleaner, change the ide data cable, you can also try to attach the cd drive to another computer system and get conformation if its good and in working condition.

Thanks
