Mybook password

Hi, i recently book a mybook essential, 1TB. I installed it and applied my password, no problems. after that, i happened to need to reformat my computer. now, i do not know if the password that i applied is the correct one. i do not have the software on my computer. when i right click on the unlock device, itbsays that it is not locked. when i clickon the software to install, i says that the device is either locked or not formatted. what do i do?

Dear Randy,

Please get to the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and consider removing the application completely before reinstalling it again. This should be the solution to the problem you are experiencing.
