Laptop headache

I have removed the 'Personal Antivirus' as indicated previously. That was a big help but now I cannot run the Malware Removal software. I have tired all tips on the internet but still unable to move forward. I have another computer and would like to know if I need to download a particular software and load on my laptop. Tried renaming the Malware Removal, but it was given to me by a friend and it's read only. Please help. Thanks
