You can do it by using conditional format
Select range A1:E1
goto conditional format
type in formula
=$A$1="lose"
and then click the format button there and choose red color
by the way, if you plan to do same for A2:E2 ....
Then select columns A:E and in conditional format type
=$A1="lose"
and close color red
Select range A1:E1
goto conditional format
type in formula
=$A$1="lose"
and then click the format button there and choose red color
