Scroll button problem on Acer 3500

The 4 way scroll button only works in Outlook Express (and then only up and down).
It doesn't work in other applications although a little up/down graphic appears when it is pressed.

i think it is aproblem of mouse setting .sometimes this setting is automatically cangeged so we faced problem . Go on controlpanel click on mouse option look options . and correct it . thanks
