Lost wireless after updates

I have a new toshiba laptop running windows vista. After windows updates, my wireless shows that it is connected, but I cannot browse. It will connect for updates, but in the browser, it says it's not connected. System restore helped once or twice, but the problem occured again, and now system restore does not help.
