hi,
i am having toshiba L300 satelite and i have installed windows vista in it after using xp......now i have again installed xp in it on another partion and windows vista is still installed in my laptop but i cant see the os(operating system) choices at start up........when i installed xp in it by changing sata option to compatiblity i was only able to use windows xp.....but when i inserted the windows vista disc in it and choosed repair option, it show me that previous version of vista is already installed...i repaired it with vista cd and then windows vista was accessable but now i cant access window xp...my laptop does not shows me the operating system choices at start up.....please anyone can help me??

What you have done is wiped the MBR (Master Boot Record) off your computer as Windows XP writes over the one for any other os what you need to do is;-

1. Insert your vista disc and tell it to boot from disk.
2. When asked it will ask you what you want to do and you tell it to repair your pc.

Thish should hopefully reset you MBR back to Vista and when you boot up the next time you should see both options for Vista and XP

it is somthing microsoft didn't think about when creating xp..
