System Restore issue

Hi, I tried to use system restore to undo some changes on my pc but it keeps telling me that the system restore was unsuccessful and to choose another system restore point any idea of what can I do please?

Well if you cant use the system restore that means that some system files are corrupted and so you cant use system restore but why don't you want to repair the registry either with recovery console in windows cd or to use a software called RegFix?
