No Audio Output Device Installed

I have an HP Pavilion 2500 Notebook. Vista 32 bit operating system. It says no audio output device installed and I don't have the game controller option in the device manager, nor the recovery manager option. I have tried many things, but so far it will come back a couple of days and than leave again. I really don't want to have to send it into to hp because they take forever and they'll charge so much that I might as well buy a new computer!

Please help me!!

there is a two chance 1/ some time inbult sound card of bord or cheap goes /damage , it is areare case 2/ virouse is danger for sound driver it attack on sound and damage. we can not remove it easy by scanning by antivirouse. some time we face this problem on new staling computer. we think bord sound is damage but virous doing this. we can solve this problem re instiling operating system again. or formating c drive thanks(roshan)
