Launching problem for Vista

Hi,

I had a power cut on my Dell Inspiron 1440. Now it wont start. I cant even hit F8 for Safe Mode. When I turn on the computer, it sometimes recommends to Repair Launcher but it never fixes anything. If I skip the repair and start normally, I get a black screen with a bar with green light and the copyright Microsoft Corp words on the bottom of screen(trying to start) but it never does.

Can anyone help?

Hi there,

Remove the battery and press on the power switch for 1 minute and reseat back connecting adapter to it and boot in safe mode and restart machine and in normal mode.
