Hello,

i recently loaded ubuntu onto my acer 5313 laptop. and couldn't get the wifi to work, so i decided to go back to vista. however when i start the vista reinstall it says there is no hard drive detected. i have tried switching the type of HDD interface in the bios options screen between IDE and the other one... and still no success. i've encountered many stupid little problems with this computer many times since purchase. but i am in desperate need of a quick fix to get it up and running. please help

thanks,
Dylan

Hmmm is the vista dvd acer gave you with your laptop...because all drivers you need for your Acer are found on that dvd

I would use a partition manager tool to delete the linux partitions before you install Vista.
I use Partition Commander (but it costs $39) - you could try ultimate boot manager if you want a free one
