Hello,  

regedit not working in any way (folder options still not showing). gpedit.msc has been blocked. 

however, managed to unblock my taskmanager by "Click on Start, Run and type the following command exactly and press Enter 

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f" 

STILL CANNOT ENABLE THE FOLDER OPTIONS, PLEASEE HELP ME OUT 

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

i have the same problem. My PC saying '.......system32/regedit.sys' file is missing. No much problem with this but the message is showing while opening the computer and task manager is not working. Is there any way to resolve this problem. Wish to get answer from professionals.
