Have you downloaded all Windows critical updates.
Have you done a full scan with you anti-virus.
Have you run a scan for malware/spyware.
Have you checked to see if you need to defragment
Have you done a disk cleanup
If all these have been done open My compute,r right click properties on local disk, click tools and open error checking and follow instructions

Hi Jasem
If you tried everything I suggested.
I would myself do a Repair install with your recovery or XP installation disk if all else failed..
This will reformat your hard drive but leave all your files intact.
Before you do that have you added any new hardware/software just before it started running slow. If so try removing it.
Have you tried system restore to a date when your computer was faster.
This also could be a ram problem check your ram memory.
In XP nowdays running sevice pack 3 I would suggest a memory ram of 1 to 2GB.
If you are not sure how to do the repair install come back and I will give you the instructions.
