Hello,

I have installed already windows XP on an Acer Aspire 5517 laptop, but I have not been able to install the VGA driver, as I have tried with several drivers and non seems to work. Do you have any information regarding this VGA driver for Acer Aspire 5517 working with Windows XP?

you have a radeon x1200 video chip - go to the AMD site and download the correct driver:
