Hello,

I have a sony vaio and the sound is not working. It used to just stop working and then a restart would get it back, but now nothing. I have Vista home, and tried uninstalling/reinstalling the Realtek hi def audio driver, nothing. I tried going into the device manager and it says that audio and driver are there and operating properly. I went into services and looked at and started all windows audio and dependencies, but when I try to start windows audio (not endbuilder point) it says it cannot start it. I get error:5 access is denied. When I try to go through control panel/sound and click on it, it says windows audio is not enabled, would you like to enable it now? I say ok and then nothing. There is now no volume icon on the task bar either. Can someone help me?? Thanks.

Additionally, webcam and microphone are not working either.
